It appears that in order to catch evil, you need evil’s help–or so it would see when Andre stepped in to help capture Clyde on Days of Our Lives.
The bad seed DiMera (is that redundant?!) helped to save the day this week when he pretended to kill Chad (Billy Flynn), sending Clyde on a quest for Thomas that led to him being trapped in the panic room.
One Down
Thankfully, it looks like this time, Clyde (James Read) won’t be getting a reprieve, at least for the foreseeable future as Read last aired this week. This success is just part one of Marlena and John’s grand plan to capture the escaped convicts. Buoyed by the outcome, John headed for the pier in part two, offering himself up to Orpheus in exchange for the lives of everyone else in Salem.
Town Goes Boom
The joke was on John (Drake Hogestyn) as he and Steve waited for Orpheus by the pier. Instead, they heard loud rocking booms, as did many others across town, implying that bomb-happy Orpheus was doing what he does best. Could he have outsmarted John and Marlena?
Who’s Next?
Even though it seems like Orpheus (George DelHoyo) may have the upper hand right now, the fact that Clyde has been removed makes it seem like this story is nearing its conclusion sooner rather than later. Xander (Paul Telfer) has overplayed his hand, grabbing Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and making deals with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). It feels like he’ll be the next to fall, which will only leave Orpheus. Thanks to Marlena’s profile on him, indicating his weak spots, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before he’s either killed or taken into custody — but will someone lose their life before that happens?!?
