The newest series on the Days of Our Lives App is titled Last Blast Reunion and it features the .Com era gang reuniting in the Big Apple — but is their get-together all fun and games?
The second installment of the series has the former Salem high school gang getting back together for a party. But not everyone seems to be happy about it.
Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) and Belle (Martha Madison) are upbeat about the gathering, but there appears to be an underlying tension between Philip (Jay Johnson) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer). As promised, the app series does rely on the use of flashbacks. In this app-isode, viewers will see past images of Philip, Shawn, Chloe, and even Mimi!
The similarities been Teressa Liana, who has taken over the role of Mimi, and Farah Fath, who previously played the role, is so eerie that DAYS is able to utilize a shot of Fath in this app-isode without it being noticeably jarring.
There may be lingering animosity between the two women as Mimi took an early dislike to Chloe. She was jealous over Chloe’s connection with Mimi’s best pal Belle. Over time, the women buried the hatchet, but a reunion is just the type of place where old wounds can surface.
Philip and Shawn have a history of competing for Belle’s affections. Belle and Philip were wed and she stayed with him after he lost part of one of his legs during the war in Iraq even though Shawn was her true love.
Philip had believed he was the father of Belle’s daughter, Claire, but Shawn was the true pop. Philip fought to keep ‘his’ daughter, ultimately failing. Philip threw himself into his work after Belle, Shawn, and Claire left Salem but he and Belle briefly reunited a few years back. It’s possible that past pain is causing current tension between the two men?
