Days of Our Lives
As Theresa left Salem to help her mother, young Tate also had to go, so the twins who played him have a special farewell message to Days of Our Lives fans.
Colin and Kyle Schroeder have been portraying Tate Black for the last few months and have a devoted following thanks to their adorable ways and their knack for scene-stealing.
The young actors share an Instagram account and uploaded one of their finals scenes, along with the following caption.
“Ok… we had one last scene today. We like to think this was the writers way of saying good bye! 😥Thank you again @nbcdays for the opportunity!!”
But the writers aren’t the only folks they felt deserved thanks. These twins (or probably their mother) also had some sweet words for their onscreen family.
“We look forward to visiting Salem again to see our dad @ericmartsolf !! Thank you @jen_lilley and @kassiedepaiva ”
These twins were absolutely adorable and appeared to be good at improvisation — did you catch when Tate messed up his daddy’s hair? It certainly was not a scripted moment — making the scene that much more special.
This wasn’t the first time the boys posted about their DAYS experience. An earlier snap showed them with their onscreen mom, as Victor (John Aniston) looked on.
“Yesterday finally marked the reunion of @jen_lilley and her boy on @nbcdays 👩👦It has been an amazing opportunity for the boys to work with such an incredible actress and cast!”
Another video shared showed one twin with Martsolf. “Super proud of Colin making his first screen debut with lines. He rocked it! @ericmartsolf and @kassiedepaiva are simply amazing!🌟🎬”
It definitely sounds like it was an amazing experience for the terrific twins and here’s hoping Tate comes back to visit his father from time to time.
