Following published reports that Stacy Haiduk has wrapped up her stint as Kristen on Days of Our Lives comes word that we may not have seen the last of Stefano’s daughter. The actress herself is speaking out about her future in Salem.
Stacy Haiduk: Goodbye…For Now?
“So yesterday you all read that I was leaving Day’s!!!” Haiduk shared on her official Instagram page. “But Let’s not write Kristen Dimera off quite yet! Is anyone really gone in Salem? After all, I am the Phoenix!🔥
“This heartfelt journey of Kristen, Brady (Eric Martsolf), and baby Rachel has been so amazing!” Haiduk continued. “These two characters have worked so hard this past year to be together! From the pages of the writers to us actors, I am truly blessed and grateful to all you fans who came on this journey! I love your support and your enthusiasm! Thank you so much!! Love & Light!❤️💥xoxo #kristendimera #days #nbcdays #bristen #loveandlight #daysofourlivesfans.”
Haiduk succeeded in taking over a role that many initially thought just couldn’t be recast as it had been previously played by Emmy-winner Eileen Davidson. Haiduk dove into the role and not only captured Kristen’s fiery rage and deep vulnerability, but she also nailed bringing to life the offbeat and eccentric Susan Banks.
Haiduk’s Kristen can command a room. When she was exposed as masquerading as Nicole last year, she stood up to many Salemites making apologizes for her actions. The actress turned in Emmy-caliber performances as Kristen blasted all her detractors. Viewers have seen tender and heartbreaking moments as well, such as when Kristen mourned the loss of her daughter and then expressed overwhelming joy upon finding out that her daugther was alive.
Nobody could have blamed Kristen for going after Victor (John Aniston) who played a major role in letting Kristen think her baby had died. While she stabbed Victor, we’re guessing a great Salem lawyer could get her off with temporary insanity.
Once soaps are back in production, it wouldn’t be surprising if another soap scooped up Haiduk. She was a hit on The Young and the Restless both as unbalanced Patty Williams, but also her therapist, Dr. Emily Peterson, a therapist whom Patty had plastic surgery to look like. Soap Hub will keep Haiduk’s fans updated on where she lands next! Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
