Dimitri (Peter Porte) shocked Leo (Greg Rikaart) by arriving in Horton Town Square just after Leo’s wedding to Javi (Al Calderon, who left DAYS for NBC’s Brilliant Minds) was over. Javi told Leo he had to work this out, and the two went their separate ways, leaving Javi heartbroken and Leo feeling lost. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) confronted Xander (Paul Telfer) after he fired Brady (Eric Martsolf). He knows he acted horribly. He said it wasn’t personal, but he knew that it was. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) comforted Brady, who told her what happened with Xander.
However, his unemployment status wasn’t all bad. He was no longer feeling like Basic Black was where he wanted to be. He wanted to find a new opportunity, one that would be more fulfilling and give him true purpose. However, he felt guilty because Basic Black had so much to do with his dad. Xander and Leo commiserated at the Brady Pub. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) objected to Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) idea to run their engagement announcement in The Spectator. That move could trigger her stalker. That’s what she hoped would happen. They ended up going along with her plan.

Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) questioned Gwen (Emily O’Brien) to see if she knew why Dimitri was in town and whether he might have had something to do with kidnapping the gaggle of DiMeras. Meanwhile, Dimitri spinned a story for Rafe (Galen Gering) about his captivity, but he was very vague about the details. Rafe told Dimitri not to leave town. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) persuaded Sarah to let her go home from the hospital. Despite having concerns, Sarah did just that.
As a result, Kristen was able to visit Rachel (Alice Halsey) at Bayview. Also at Bayview, Brady met with Dr. Gregory (Kim Hawthorne) about his daughter. He was able to voice his concerns, namely, Rachel’s friendship with Sophia (Rachel Boyd). He didn’t think she was a good influence on Rachel, even though Sophia didn’t talk. Dr. Gregory expressed her concerns about Rachel’s ongoing issues with the women he dated. Sophia asked Rachel for a favor; she needed money to get a phone. Rachel stole the money from her father’s wallet.

Leo opened up to Chad (Billy Flynn) as he licked his wounds over the way his wedding and potentially his marriage ended. Gwen questioned Kristen about Rachel’s status. The two also talked about EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Kristen wasn’t happy with him, so she told Gwen she didn’t plan to stick around the DiMera mansion. And Gwen broke the news about Dimitri living there right now. In other news, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) asked Ari (Marissa Reyes) to join a sorority with her. Ari was hesitant to go that route. She, in turn, asked if Holly wanted to join her at Small Bar.
Holly declined and said she was going to hang with Tate (Leo Howard). Brady and Tate discussed Basic Black. Brady revealed his unemployment status to his son, but he also said he wanted someone from the family to be part of Basic Black. He asked Tate if he was interested in interning there to see if it was a good fit. Tate said he wasn’t. He didn’t know what he wanted to do with his business degree, but it wasn’t that. Rachel and Sophia plotted to get Sophia out of the hospital. It involved Rachel taking Sophia’s place in her bed. Sophia made it out. But Rachel got caught. And Ari spotted Sophia in HTS.

Brady confided in Marlena (Deidre Hall). He told her about Rachel being caught. What he talked about with Dr. Gregory. And his concern that Rachel stole the money out of his wallet. He also asked Marlena for advice. Elsewhere, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) vented to Julie (Susan Seaforth) about Jeremy (Michael Roark) and a little about what Xander did. Sarah confronted Xander about firing Brady. The two got into it. Xander admitted his action wasn’t warranted. But he also basically called Sarah a hypocrite for her actions. She couldn’t believe he went there.
Later, Maggie told her that she may have engineered that conversation because she wanted to see Xander in person. At Bayview, Jeremy advised Rachel. He told her he could relate to her circumstances because he had been in therapy for years, and it had allegedly worked for him. Also, Jada (Elia Cantu) congratulated Stephanie, who had to hear about her bestie’s engagement when she read about it in The Spectator. Stephanie opened up about why she really went public with the announcement.

Javi received troubling news about his father, who was about to have quadruple bypass surgery. He decided to go to Texas to care for his father. Leo pressed Gwen when he showed up to confront her at the DiMera mansion. He tried to make a deal—he’ll drop his expose on EJ and whatever he has going on at the Dr. Tom Horton Free Clinic, if she will get rid of Dimitri. Leo and Gwen came to an understanding instead.
Johnny (Carson Boatman) tipped Rafe off about the strange delivery that went down the night of the gala for the free clinic. He also sent Rafe the video of EJ and Gwen talking about that delivery. Cat attempted to use her brother, Mark (Jonah Robinson), to break into the secret lab. It didn’t work. Chanel (Raven Bowens) confided in Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) that she was pregnant. She asked him to keep the news on the down low. Johnny was okay with Chanel telling Theo about her pregnancy. The two hashed things out and are now in a better place.
