Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) got a marriage license for their fake eloping. Later, Alex spotted Jeremy (Michael Roark) at the pub and confronted him about what he’s accused of doing. Stephanie wondered if she and Alex should elope for real and asked Jada (Elia Cantu) to help her surprise Alex with the wedding. Eli (Lamon Archey) officially became Rafe’s (Galen Gering) partner, then he surprised Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) by announcing that he and Lani (Sal Stowers) are moving back to Salem. Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) gave Gwen (Emily O’Brien) back her $50k check for her dress, but only if she helped her find out if Vivian (Louise Sorel) really held Stefan (Brandon Barash) against his will. The DiMeras gathered in the crypt to say a final goodbye to Stefano (the late Joe Mascolo). When only EJ was left in the crypt, he got an unexpected visit from Rolf (Richard Wharton), who told him that his last instruction from Stefano was to give him a ring. Tony (Thaao Penghlis) suggested to Chad (Billy Flynn) that he bring the kids on an extended vacation away from Salem.

On Valentine’s Day in Salem, Leo confided in Marlena about his feelings for Dimitri. Melinda (Tina Huang) arrived to represent Dimitri as Rafe questioned him about the DiMera kidnappings. Brady argued with Kristen over her taking Rachel out of Bayview, then Kristen agreed to joint custody only if she moves in with them. Now that EJ has Stefano’s ring, Gwen sensed a change in him as she told him her master plan to get rid of Dimitri. Later, when Susan (Stacy Haiduk) arrived, she felt Stefano’s evil inside of EJ.

Chad broke it to Julie that he’s taking the kids to visit Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Zach Tinker) for a few weeks. Tate (Leo Howard) helped Brady move into his new place and Brady vented to him about Kristen. Xander (Paul Telfer) took out his frustration on the golf course, where he ran into Gwen. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Ari (Marissa Reyes) went to a Valentine’s mixer hosted by the sorority they want to join and when one girl began joking about Tate, Holly went off on her. Later, she vented to Tate and lost it on him, all due to Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) medication. Brady admitted to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) that he has feelings for her.
