For the week of September 2-6, Days of Our Lives spoilers focus on dark drama, including devastating secrets, resurfaced memories, and a nasty run-in. Meanwhile, Brady’s family mobilizes for him, but can they keep him from making bad choices?
Bienvenue, Eric Brady!
It’s time to welcome Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) back to Salem. For the last month (has it only been a month?), he’s been living and working in Paris with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and their son, Jude (Oliver McLarty). They’re finally living their best lives. Unfortunately, they have to do so away from Salem, where there aren’t any dastardly DiMeras in their immediate vicinity.
Eric’s return to Salem includes visiting Marlena (Deidre Hall). How much will he update his mom on his Parisian life? Apparently, Eric’s here to support his brother Brady (Eric Martsolf). After all, if anyone can relate to what Brady’s going through, it’s Eric who did prison time for hitting and killing someone while driving drunk. Not long after he arrives in Salem, Eric will undoubtedly want to get back on a plane. He’s set for a nasty run-in with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) later in the week.
Devastating Truth
Will that nasty run-in result in Eric’s worst nightmare? Since losing Nicole, EJ especially loves to make Eric’s life hell. Depending on how nasty and bitter their confrontation gets, does Holly (Ashley Puzemis) overhear EJ spill a secret that most of Salem knows but she doesn’t?
Will Holly learn that Eric is the drunk driver who hit and killed Holly’s father, Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian — who recently made it official with Arianne Zucker)? EJ once threatened to blab this information. If this is the long-kept secret that devastates Holly, is her tight-knit relationship with Eric over in an instant? And did anyone else realize before this summer that Holly had no idea that Eric killed her dad? Just us?
Odds and Ends
Brady confessing to Sarah’s hit-and-run is big news in Salem. Thankfully, he has his family to help prevent him from sabotaging himself. In fact, John (Drake Hogestyn) suddenly steps up to dissuade Brady from making a rash choice. Come on, John. He has to know that preventing Brady from making bad choices is like asking Xander (Paul Telfer) to stop walking around shirtless. It’s not going to happen.
Meanwhile, poor Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). She and Xander get married, but before they can honeymoon, a car hits her, leaving her paralyzed. Good news, however. Sarah remembers the night of her accident. What exactly does she remember about the drunk driver that hit her? Does she see Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas)? (Find out how Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi will most likely hurt Stefan here)
On the lighter end of the drama spectrum, this update is brought to you by Body & Soul, the reboot currently in its audition phase. Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) are shocked to learn that Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) already auditioned to be Chanel’s love interest. There’s no way Chanel is going to be on board with that, and Johnny probably won’t either. Who will act as a mediator for the two burgeoning actors? Abe (James Reynolds) or Kate (Lauren Koslow)?
