For the week of July 22 – July 26 on Days of Our Lives, spoilers focus on characters going into battle, dealing with breakups, and exhibiting plenty of bitterness.
Marriage, Interrupted
Presumably, Xander’s mom showing up at the wedding means bad things for Theresa (Emily O’Brien) and drama for Xander (Paul Telfer) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). Subsequently, Theresa’s secret will be outed. Everyone will know she played puppetmaster regarding Victor’s (the late John Aniston) heir apparent and was in cahoots with Konstantin (John Kapelos), including taking off with Victoria. (Here’s what’s set to happen on DAYS on Monday)
As a result, Alex can only demand answers from his wife. He’ll most probably lick his wounds. And then, by the end of the week, something good will happen. He and Justin will reconcile. Hopefully, this means he realizes what a jerk he’s been to his actual father. Please say Justin (Wally Kurth) makes him grovel a tiny bit? We get that Alex’s world completely falls apart, but a little groveling won’t hurt him. It’ll build character, and he needs that.
Ready to Mingle
Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Ava (Tamara Braun) are two hot messes. Brady came this close to drinking over losing Theresa to Alex. Meanwhile, Ava is single again after Harris (Steve Burton) hightailed it out of town to track down Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson). Needless to say, they’re both single, but are they ready to mingle?
Apparently, there’s a possibility of the mingling happening. When the two commiserate over their respective breakups, what does that look like? Is a new couple about to be borne? (Here’s what Michael Easton says about a potential return to DAYS)
Odds and Ends
EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) isn’t about to let Nicole (Arianne Zucker — who addresses her upcoming exit here) have her divorce without a fight. Apparently, he means that literally. He and Eric (Greg Vaughan) go to battle over Nicole. So, is this a duel-type situation? Do Eric and EJ engage in fisticuffs, MMA-type fighting, Krav Maga, or something that doesn’t end with someone getting injured?
Elsewhere, Jada (Elia Cantu) and Stephanie (Abigail Wilson) have no idea that Bobby (Blake Berris) tricked them, and he’s now pretending to be Everett. The guy thinks he has everybody fooled. And, okay, maybe he does for now. But Jada and Stephanie suddenly become suspicious of Everett. Will they connect the dots?
Finally, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) catches Connie (Julie Dove) with Rafe (Galen Gering). Connie, the literal backstabber, is the cause of this comatose commissioner who’s lying vulnerable in a hospital bed. Is she planning to finish the job? Does she think she needs to so she can ensure Bobby stays quiet about her killing Li Shin (Remington Hoffman)?
