Weekly Days of Our Lives Spoilers July 1 – 5: Reunions, Exits, and DiMera Fireworks

For the week of July 1 – July 5 on Days of Our Lives, spoilers focus on emotional reunions, potentially heartbreaking goodbyes, and summertime schemes.

Freedom ’24

Gabi (Cherie Jimenez — learn more about the actress here) is finally out of Pentonville. After all, she no longer has to pay for a crime she didn’t commit. Obviously, she and Stefan (Brandon Barash) share a blissful reunion. Who could blame them? They’ve been separated for a long time.

Later in the week, Gabi finds Stefan and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) squabbling. Isn’t fighting, blackmailing, and backstabbing Stefan and EJ’s default mode? Surely, Gabi remembers that. No doubt she’ll come to her husband’s defense. Will that continue if and when she finds out about his momentary lapse with Ava (Tamara Braun)? Inquiring minds want to know.

Buh-bye, Salem?

Eric (Greg Vaughan) thinks it’s best for him to leave town. So far, his leaving is simply a concept. He is sending out resumes, and if he gets a photography gig elsewhere, he’ll probably make the move.

Unfortunately, this concept is now a reality. Things are too painful for him to stick around, so he tells Nicole (Arianne Zucker — who addresses her upcoming exit) that he’s leaving today. Needless to say, she is stunned. The question is, how stunned? Stunned enough to do something about it?

Odds and Ends

Everybody involved in this baby switch caper hasn’t paid with a second of jail time. This includes Melinda (Tina Huang), who recently received full immunity as long as she handed over Clyde’s (James Read) precious book that was needed to free Gabi. Sure, it took EJ getting Melinda fired to do it, but it’s okay. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is now considering Melinda for a key role at DiMera.

Meanwhile, Jada (Elia Cantu) informs Steve (Stephen Nichols) of the consequences in aiding in Clyde’s escape. What will she tell Steve? She needs to tell him that he’s an idiot for taking all the blame. Ava pays no consequences for her part, but there’s the slightest chance Steve does? Come on! Finally, the teens continue to scheme despite being busted at the prom. Or should we say at the Salem Inn after the prom? Yes, Tate (Leo Howard) shares a secret summer plan with Holly (Ashley Puzemis). What would Theresa (Emily O’Brien) say if she knew that her boy is the one coming up with the plans and not the so-called “bad influence” that she claims Holly is?
