Weekly Days of Our Lives Spoilers December 30-January 3: New Year’s Eve Drama, Disaster, and Rafe’s Doppelganger

For the week of December 30 – January 3, Days of Our Lives spoilers focus on ringing in the New Year, Salem-style.

Not so Merry New Year’s Eve

Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) are headed for disaster. Johnny cheated on his wife with Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), and he has poorly kept a lid on it for weeks. Chanel’s practically the only person who doesn’t know about it, but it looks like that’s about to change.

Chanel and Johnny throw a New Year’s Eve party. What better place for the big secret to be revealed than an end-of-the-year bash where family, friends, and Body & Soul coworkers are gathered?? Chanel must somehow find out about her hubby’s cheating ways because later next week, she suddenly confronts Johnny. It sounds like Johnny should be prepared to start off 2025 in the worst way possible.

Awkward Admonishments

Holly (Ashley Puzemis), Tate (Leo Howard), and a pregnant Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) are also headed for disaster. Holly gave Tate concert tickets to his favorite band for Christmas. Unfortunately, he told her he couldn’t go because he had to fly out to California to see his grandparents. In reality, he and Sophia have plans to end Sophia’s pregnancy.

While he vowed to keep it all a secret from his girlfriend, those plans must go up in smoke because Sophia’s mother reprimands Tate. Heads up: We’re finally going to see Sophia’s mom. Shi Ne Nielsen plays Amy Choi. Nielsen’s soap credits include a 2005 appearance on DAYS as a nurse. Plus, she played a detective on The Young and the Restless for several episodes in 2013. The actress also played the owner of the magical nightclub The Blue Camellia on the CW’s Charmed reboot during season four.

Odds & Ends

EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle (Martha Madison) are about to take a turn. EJ has been super annoyed with Belle since she returned. Because of her, Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) received an 18-month jail sentence instead of the 10-25 years the DA wanted. However, the antagonistic vibe between the former paramours suddenly changes when EJ flirts with Belle. Will these two have a rockin’ New Year’s Eve? Or will they wait and reconnect in 2025?

This week’s biggest development happened when Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) paid a visit to EJ. Unfortunately, Rafe (also Galen Gering) may again find out that two Rafes cannot exist in Salem at the same time. When Rafe is stunned to see an old enemy, does Arnold do something to his lookalike?

We’re asking this question because another teaser has Jada (Elia Cantu) noticing something different about Rafe. This must mean that Arnold has effectively taken Rafe’s place, right? What did the doppelganger do?
