For the week of December 16-20, Days of Our Lives spoilers focus on corporate battles, long-term grudges, and potentially disastrous dates.
Succession
This coming week — specifically on Tuesday — Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) finally learn who has the rightful claim to Titan. For once, Xander’s on the right side of history. Meanwhile, Philip is on the totally opposite side. All he has is a forged letter, a desperate PR campaign, his mother, and a prayer. However, thanks to Xander’s schemes, Philip was forced to enlist Belle as his new lawyer. That is encouraging for him.
Should Xander win this case outright, will Philip accept the outcome? Or will he come up with another angle to try to dethrone Xander? What happens if Philip wins? Does he really get Titan outright? Is there a world where Philip and Xander are forced to run the Kiriakis universe together?

Berate and Interrogate
The Vancouver posse is back in Salem. JJ (Casey Moss) finally reconnects with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), whose grudge against Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) apparently hasn’t lessened with time. And why should it? Gabi controlled her pacemaker and had the power to stop her heart anytime she wanted. Unsurprisingly, Julie chides JJ for spending time with Gabi. Will she be able to hold on to her resentment and hatred if/when Gabi and JJ get together? The two are already getting closer.
Meanwhile, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) needs a word with Julie about dealing with Dubious Doug III (Peyton Meyer). The guy is shady, and they don’t even know he stole Julie’s grandmother’s priceless diamond necklace yet. Will Jennifer’s questions finally make Julie see the red flags regarding Doug III?

Odds & Ends
For a while now, Aaron (Louis Tomeo) has been privy to what’s going on with his brother and sister, Mark (Jonah Robinson) and Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). Will she find out about Catherina (Susan Elena Matus), too?
Now that Cat and Chad (Billy Flynn) are back from Vancouver, there’s no fraud, trauma, or excuse that requires them to be in the same room or house. So, Cat says goodbye to Chad. How long before the two run into each other in the middle of Horton Town Square?
