Days of our Lives spoilers for the week of January 5-9, 2026 tease major awakenings and wedding day shake-ups.
Theo Wakes Up With A New Outlook
Theo’s (Tyler Joseph Andrews) injuries from the DiMera crypt brawl left him unconscious, laid up in the hospital through Christmas and New Year’s Eve. But on Tuesday, Abe (James Reynolds) and Paulina (Jackée Harry) will start the new year off with a miracle when Theo finally wakes up.
Shaken by the experience, Theo will start realizing what it truly means to be a DiMera on Thursday, while his family endure their own struggles. While Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) makes a tough mid-week decision, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Belle (Martha Madison) will grow closer on Thursday after recently matching on a dating app.
Dimitri’s Back
Now that Dimitri (Peter Porte) crashed Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Javi’s (Al Calderon) wedding, his return changes everything for everyone. While Leo and Javi grapple with the turn of events, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is teased to be in hot water. After a much-needed therapy session with Martina (Deidre Hall), Leo will be left proving his love for Javi, while Dimitri assures Gwen he has the upper hand.
Odds and Ends
New Year’s may bring another kiss for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) when they ring in 2026 together, but things may take a turn when Xander (Paul Telfer, who was named Soap Hub’s Performer of the Year on DAYS) lashes out on his ex-wife’s new beau by the end of the week.
As for Salem’s other top couples, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) has a New Year’s surprise for Tate (Leo Howard), while the stress of her stalker leaves Stephanie (Abigail Klein) taking things out on Alex (Robert Scott Wilson).
Finally, Salem’s OG author, Bonnie (Judi Evans), gets some bad news from Kate (Lauren Koslow), presumably about her new manuscript One Rainy Afternoon.
