Key Takeaways
- Special guest, John Oliver, arrives in Salem as a mysterious new character.
- Alex’s decision to move out pushes Stephanie to her breaking point.
- Rafe finds Gwen, while Theo and Chad make a major discovery.
Threat from Theo
Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) has a heated exchange with Rita (Maggie Carney). “If you don’t get out of my way, I will make you get out of my way,” he threatens her. Might he suspect that his mother, Lexie (Nikki Crawford), is somewhere on the DiMera estate and is determined to search for her?
Moving Out?
Even from a hospital bed, Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) has found a way to drive a wedge between newlyweds Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein). “I’m going to move into Joy’s room at the pub for a little while,” Alex tells his wife, so he can take care of his and Joy’s daughter, Kelsey.
Stephanie doesn’t take the news well and quickly makes her feelings known to Alex. “No,” she responds firmly.
Lost and Found
Far off in Alamainia, Dimitri (Peter Porte) thinks he’s totally in control now that he’s kidnapped Gwen (Emily O’Brien), seemingly gotten away with it, and assumes that no one is on his tail. “I don’t think anyone will ever find you again,” he sneers at her.
Not so fast… Seconds later, Rafe (Galen Gering) walks into Dimitri’s home. “Someone already has,” counters Rafe, as Gwen and Leo (Greg Rikaart) look very happy to see him.
Labor and Discovery
Chanel (Raven Bowens) is at home when she suddenly starts having contractions. “I think I may be in labor,” she gasps.
Later, Theo and Chad (Conner Floyd) burst into a room in the DiMera mansion. “Mom,” calls out Theo.
Surprise Arrival
Across town, Paulina (Jackée Harry) is sitting at her desk in her office when someone knocks at the door. Surprise, it’s Late Night Tonight with John Oliver host donning a dark wig and playing a new mystery character.
“He opens the door and asks, ‘Mayor Paulina Price?’” Paulina responds, “That’s me.” However, neither Paulina nor viewers have any idea what he wants or why he’s there.
