Days of our Lives Spoilers December 5: There’s Finally Hope in Salem

Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, December 5 are yet another reason to celebrate, as Hope reunites with her children.

Mother Love

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) originally agreed that Hope (Kristian Alfonso) should skip Doug’s (Bill Hayes) funeral and stay by Bo’s (Peter Reckell) bedside. But did anyone really believe Hope would be able to say goodbye to her beloved Daddy at a distance? She takes a break from standing vigil next to the love of her life and returns to Salem, where Hope and Bo first met. There, she gets and offers support from son Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and daughter Ciara (Victoria Konafel).

Might this family decide to stick around for good? It would give us a chance to meet little Bo and Adelaide. (Though husband Ben should probably keep his distance from Alex Kiriakis [Robert Scott Wilson].)

Catching Up

There’s a new Doug Williams (Peyton Meyer) in Salem, and he claims to be the grandson of the original Doug Williams. Now that he’s here, he wants to get to know his new family. This is a great opportunity for Julie and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), who also arrived as a newcomer who didn’t grow up a Horton, to tell him about their history. But is Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) feeling her reporter’s intuition acting up? After all, she knew Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) wasn’t Abigail before anyone else did. Maybe she’ll figure something out about young Doug, too?

Cut It Out

Xander (Paul Telfer) isn’t thrilled with Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) these days. That came through when he picked up a gun, pointed it at Philip, and pulled the trigger — not knowing it wasn’t loaded. And if he can’t have Philip dead, then Xander would like him gone, if not from Salem, then from, at the very least, Titan. To that end, he doesn’t need Stephanie (Abigail Klein) helping her ex-fiancee.
