Days of our Lives Spoilers September 30: Trouble on the Set

Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, September 30, end the month with a return to the set of Body & Soul, where all is not well…in body or soul.

The Powers That Be

Kate (Lauren Koslow), Abe (James Reynolds), and Leo (Greg Rikaart) probably thought producing and writing a streaming daytime drama would involve mostly parties, awards shows, and big hair. They didn’t think much about fundraising, crowded photo shoots, or, worst of all, difficult actors. Now that Body & Soul is getting ready to premiere, Kate and Abe are having to deal with Hattie (Deidre Hall) threatening to walk unless she gets her own way.

Meanwhile, Leo has to tell Bonnie (Judi Evans) that her rewrites have been kiboshed, as has that raise she wanted. We’re fascinated that people who write and produce soaps for a living are writing and producing a story where actors insist on special perks… before their episodes have aired. The audience has had a chance to chime in on who really are their favorites, rather than who the show assumes it will be. What leverage do either Hattie or Bonnie have to “it’s her or me” at this stage of the game?

Actors Equity

Chanel (Raven Bowens) wasn’t pleased to learn she’d be doing love scenes with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). But she was equally displeased when Johnny (Carson Boatman) stepped in to handle the situation for her. Johnny rushes to apologize. Because has he ever had a thought or principle of his own that he’d be willing to hang onto once meeting an ounce of resistance?

The Other Side

Alex wasn’t pleased either. But he’s not sure if that’s something he’s allowed to say. So he turns to Stephanie (Abigail Klein) for advice. And if that advice turns into something more, well, then…
