Days of our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, July 2, pick up Johnny trying to console his wife after their loss, while Paulina wants Kayla to tell her exactly what happened — and why.
Plausible Deniability
From the moment Chanel (Raven Bowens) announced she was pregnant, Paulina (Jackée Harry) has been beating her breast and howling to Abe (James Reynolds) and anyone else who would listen about how any problems with the unborn baby would be her fault. Now that Chanel has miscarried, Johnny (Carson Boatman) just wants to be there for his wife and help her face the future.
Paulina, on the other hand, wants to dwell on the past. She demands Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) — who wasn’t even the doctor on duty or an OBGYN — explain how the loss happened, and who was responsible. Or, better yet, who wasn’t responsible.
After the Fact
Another person dwelling on the past is Steve (Stephen Nichols). He’s confessed to helping Clyde (James Read) escape. Now it’s up to Jada (Elia Cantu — who told us this possibility for Jada’s mom) — daughter of Steve’s late, good friend, Marcus — to explain what the penalty might be for that.
Will he be the only one facing the consequences? After all, Ava (Tamara Braun) was the one who pulled him into the criminal activity, and she was the one who technically let Clyde go.
Help Wanted
Marlena (Deidre Hall) is still working with Everett (Blake Berris) — when Leo (Greg Rikaart) isn’t dropping in for spontaneous appointments because his needs are just so much greater than anybody else’s — but she isn’t making much progress. So she asks Stephanie (Abigail Klein) to step up and help bring out the man he used to be. Who, from what we can tell, was much worse than the man he is now.
Working Girl
Kate (Lauren Koslow) has nothing to do now that she is no longer trying to get Lucas (Bryan Dattillo) out of prison. So she might as well look for a new business opportunity. And she might as well get Abe to join her. He’s got nothing to do but tell Paulina how wonderful she is.
