Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, November 8, celebrate the show’s 59th anniversary with Marlena attempting to celebrate her anniversary with John — while he’s not there.
It’s not every day that your parents celebrate their wedding anniversary, and Belle (Martha Madison) wouldn’t miss Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John’s (Drake Hogysten) for the world. Paul (Sean Christopher) is there to wish them the best, too.
But how can it be a party without John? The occasion is even more bittersweet since fans know that, with Hogysten’s recent death, we’re never going to see John with his “Doc” again.

The same is true for Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). The male of this dynamic duo also passed away, which means we’ve seen Doug for the last time, too. Those are two huge losses for the Salem community, which the show will honor along with its own anniversary.
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) played nice with Brady (Eric Martsolf), agreeing to share custody of Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) and promising that things will be different from now on. But, alas, Kristen is still Kristen.
Which means she is perfectly happy to blackmail Xander (Paul Telfer). She’ll give him the antidote to Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) paralysis…if he hands over his family company. Kristen can use it to get closer to Brady. He’ll appreciate all her hard work, won’t he? Actually, not so much, no.
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) isn’t thrilled about what’s going on between her two stepsons, especially now that Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) has come up with yet another codicil from Victor (John Aniston), claiming that the company actually belongs to him. Sarah tries to cheer her mom up. But there’s not much she can say.
Tate (Leo Howard) broke all the rules of soap opera-ing when he immediately told Holly (Ashley Puzemis) he’d slept with Sophia (Madelyn Keintz). Now, his conscience is clear. But running into Holly all over town is awkward.
