Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, May 5 kick off the week with Steve and Shawn still committed to stealing the medication that might save Bo’s life.

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) explained that she tried to get her hands on the experimental drug with the potential to keep Bo (Peter Reckell) from complete organ collapse, but the stupid doctor in charge of the stupid research had stupid ethical qualms and some stupid point about how if they compromise the trial, it could keep the medication from saving thousands more people.
Kayla begrudgingly admitted he had a point, and backed off. But Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) had a better idea: They’d steal it right out of the stupid lab! Steve thinks he should do it alone. Because Shawn is a cop and stuff. But Shawn still wants to be a part of it.

Father’s Day
First, Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) couldn’t adopt Sophia (Rachel Boyd) and Tate’s (Leo Howard) baby because Amy (Shi Ne Nielsen) thought EJ was a terrible person. Now, Chanel and Johnny can’t adopt Sophia and Tate’s baby because Johnny thinks EJ is a terrible person – and he’s afraid he’ll turn out the same way. Chanel is crushed. She’s kind of used to getting what she wants as soon as she wants it – her mama saw to that. Now that she’s been told no, she needs to blame somebody. Oh, look, there’s EJ. Let’s go yell at him.
Guilt Trip
Johnny feels bad about not giving Chanel what she wants. He feels bad that he ruined Sophia and Tate’s plans for a life not as teen parents. And since this entire situation is really about him, he turns to Grandma Marlena (Deidre Hall) for some comfort, and the confirmation that he is totally not at fault.
