The Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, July 11, will feature Bill Hayes’ last appearance as Doug Williams and the last Salem scene of 50+ year supercouple Doug and Julie. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

Now and Forever

Bill Hayes first appeared in Salem on February 5, 1970. He was Bill Horton’s cellmate. He was a criminal and kind of a shifty dude. He initially came to town hoping to marry wealthy widow, Susan.

She wasn’t feeling it. But she did pay Doug to seduce one Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) away from the guy Susan wanted. Sure, Doug shrugged. Money is money, after all. Doug eventually fell in love with Julie. But if you think the path of true love ran smoothly, then, well, you must be new here.

Doug married Julie’s mother. Doug had a child with Julie’s mother. Doug married a few other women. Julie married a few other men. But when they tied the knot for the last time in 1981, they stayed married. Bill Hayes died in January 2024. Due to DAYS way in advance shooting schedule, Doug and Julie’s final scene airs Thursday.

Dig Dug

Chad (Billy Flynn) wanted to exhume Abigail’s (Marci Miller) grave to see if Clyde (James Read) was telling the truth about her not being dead. He got Abigail’s father, Jack (Matthew Ashford) to buy in, so now they’re both faced with the gruesome task. Will they discover an empty coffin, the corpse of a jackal (for you Omen fans out there), or…Chad’s wife and Jack’s daughter. It’s tough to figure out which would be worse.

Speak Up

EverBob (Blake Berris) told Jada (Elia Cantu) that he knows who killed Li (Remington Hoffman). (What a shame nobody cares at this point.) But if the killer finds out he’s been blabbing, will she let him live long enough to figure out who he wants to be when he grows up? A surprise visitor answers the question.

I Love Me

Leo (Greg Rikaart) just can’t get over how amazing he is. Every therapy session with Dr. Evans (Deidre Hall) makes him feel better about himself. It’s time for another one. What wonders will he uncover about himself this time?
