Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, July 1, kick off the second month of summer with Gabi back in Stefan’s arms — as EJ takes steps to ensure Melinda allows her to stay there.
Stefan (Brandon Barash) thought he had everything under control. He blackmailed EJ into getting his District Attorney job back from Paulina (Jackée Harry) so EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) could set Gabi (Cherie Jimenez — get to know her) free. Now, Stefan is eager to tell Gabi the good news. At the same time, EJ struggles to convince Melinda (Tina Huang) to part with the piece of evidence that will clear Gabi’s name for good.
Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) are convinced that the world is against their Romeo and Juliet level romance, especially those horrid adults who don’t remember what it’s like to be young, who have never been in love, and who have nothing in their empty lives except ruining Holly and Tate’s.
But, then again, when it comes to getting their way, they are not against whining to those same adults. Holly goes to Eric (Greg Vaughan — who had this important message) with pleas to intervene with Nicole (Arianne Zucker), as Tate asks the same of Brady (Eric Martsolf) with Theresa (Emily O’Brien). Grown-ups are weird and terrible and lame except when they can do something for you. Then they’re…OK.
Now that Stefan is about to be reunited with his wife, Ava (Tamara Braun) can’t help feeling guilty about sleeping with a guy while the woman he loves was in prison. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) tells her not to sweat it.
Things happen, OK? This is Salem. No one is faithful. It’s not like Gabi is as pristine as the driven snow. Just move on. Nobody has to know. This is Salem. We are all so, so good at keeping secrets.
