During the Wednesday, November 20 episode of Days of Our Lives, Chad heard from Clyde. The escaped criminal wanted them to check into a hotel of his choosing as a married couple. Cat brainstormed a plan involving sending in decoys to pretend to be them. Chad quickly warmed up to the idea. However, they would need some help.
Plan of Attack
While Chad (Billy Flynn) quickly accepted that Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) plan was the way to go, they’d clearly need help. They would need two people pretending to be them to check in, and as Cat told Chad, “Then we can keep our distance. We can watch and turn the tables on Clyde (James Read) when he arrives to grab me.”

The Decoys
Enter JJ (Casey Moss), who wasn’t happy that Cat was out of jail and spent most of this episode venting about it to Gabi (Cherie Jimenez). Gabi said she felt for Chad and even said she missed Abigail (Marci Miller), which was hard to hear considering what Gabi had done to Abby and Chad in the past. However, she’s allegedly attempting a brand new outlook on life. Ultimately, she told JJ she was there for him for whatever he needed.
Meanwhile, Chad and Cat discussed the need to find decoys. Cat actually suggested they get Mark (Jonah Robinson) out of jail for this. Chad wisely and quickly shut that suggestion down. It’s kind of funny that Cat even brought that up as an option. They may be desperate, but they’re not THAT desperate.

As Chad and Cat continued to shore up their plan, JJ walked in on their conversation. While Chad told JJ what they were planning, he was reluctant to enlist JJ when he offered to help. He said it was too dangerous. JJ is a former cop! He’s more qualified to go up against Clyde than Chad is.
Anyway, JJ said to count him in. We know that he’s doing this to get Clyde and protect Chad from the likes of Cat Greene. When Chad asked him if he knew who could be the decoy wife, he said he knew somebody, which means he’ll undoubtedly secure Gabi’s help, right? After all, she had just offered to be there for JJ.

Is this plan as solid as Chad and Cat think it is? What do you think about JJ and potentially Gabi being decoys? Plus, Leo (Greg Rikaart) looks ridiculous after accusing Javi, right? Or is he on to something? Is this a long con? And what did you think about Rafe (Galen Gering) really quitting the force? Is he justified, or should he stay on and answer to Jada the Commish (Elia Cantu)?
