Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, January 27, put Sophia between a rock and a hard place, one being her mother and the other Tate. But what if there’s a way for her to wriggle out of both?
Next on Days of our Lives
We feel for Sophia (Madelyn Kientz), we really do. It’s bad enough that she has to put her college and life plans on hold for an unexpected pregnancy, but now her mother is insisting that not only will Sophia keep the baby, but that she’ll marry Tate (Leo Howard), and they’ll do it together.
Where our sympathy flags a little is that Sophia has options she is refusing to explore. Even if her mother is stopping Sophia from sneaking off and getting an abortion, even if Amy has put her foot down against Sophia and Tate giving the baby up for adoption, reminding her daughter that she is 17 and a minor, which means what Mama says goes, how about these two facts?
- Pregnancies usually take 9 months. Won’t Sophia be 18 by the time the child is born since she is a high school senior? And then she can give her baby up without her mother having a say in the matter?
- Amy keeps insisting that Sophia marry Tate. Does Amy know that if her daughter gets married, then she will no longer be under her mother’s jurisdiction? This means that if Sophia and Tate marry, they can both decide to give their child up for adoption without her mother having her say in the matter. Sophia has an offer for Tate. We sincerely hope she brings up one, if not both, of those facts. In the meantime, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) complains to Doug (Peyton Meyer) about it. Yes, Again.

Where in the World is Rachel Isabella?
Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) is still missing. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady (Eric Marstolf) are still looking for her, which is exactly what Rachel wanted. Dance to my tune, puppets! Dance!
But while her parents are worried sick, Rachel is making friends with the weird old lady in white who popped up where Rachel’s namesake grandmother used to live, who said that Rachel is a lovely name and that if she had a daughter, she would name her Kristen, but is most definitely not Kristen’s mother, Rachel.
