Days of our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, December 24, are Christmas Eve in the rest of the country, but in Salem, Julie has decided that they won’t be celebrating the holidays until everything is perfect. That could take a while.
Key Takeaways
- Julie puts a pause on Christmas.
- Eli and Lani come home.
- The DiMeras plot escape while Rafe and Jada stumble around looking for them.
Next on DAYS
The Hortons have a Christmas tradition of hanging ornaments with the names of family members — dead, living, here, away — on their tree. There’s singing, celebrating, and merry-making.
But Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) just isn’t feeling it this year. Chad (Billy Flynn) is missing, Thomas (Cary Christopher) is grumpy, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) is upset, Marlena (Deidre Hall) is just out of the hospital, and John (Drake Hogysten) and Doug (Bill Hayes) are gone forever. This is no way to celebrate Christmas.
So Julie isn’t cancelling it exactly… more like postponing. Which should be a bummer for the visiting Eli (Lamon Archey), Lani (Sal Stowers, who spoke about “Elani”), and their twins. Maybe their other grandma, Paulina (Jackée Harry), will make the holiday festive for them. Then again, Abe (James Reynolds) is freaked out about the missing Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), and Paulina is worried about Chanel (Raven Bowens) due to her marriage to Johnny (Carson Boatman). Lani and Eli might end up wondering why they went through the effort of traveling with toddlers.
Search for Tomorrow
Jada (Elia Cantu) and Rafe (Galen Gering) are sure they’re going to find the missing DiMeras. We’re not sure why they feel that way. Have they ever found anyone… ever? The squabbling siblings (and one nephew) know they can’t count on the cavalry to come in and rescue them, which is why they are following the edict of God helping those who help themselves. Because if there is one they all know, it’s that God is never on the DiMera side.
