DAYS spoilers reveal Leo Stark as the main suspect in one murder and one attempted murder, and it looks like he is being set up by someone who wants to take revenge — but is Leo just the scapegoat in this scenario?

DAYS Spoilers Speculation: Is This All About Chad?

When Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) was first murdered, we assumed that someone wanted her dead for whatever reason. She had a sister, Gwen Rizcech (Emily O’Brien), who hated her, and there was even Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), who was having hallucinations and could have snapped at any time.

And, let’s not forget drunk Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), who really wanted Abby to stop her investigation into who really kidnapped Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). He certainly didn’t want his niece to find out it was him.

After going through all of these suspects, often bringing them down to the Salem Police Department and then letting each one go, another victim turned up in the form of Sonny Kirkiakis (Zack Tinker). He was stabbed with the same knife that killed Abigail, with Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) revenge list right there at the crime scene. At least, unlike Abigail, Sonny survived, but once again, Leo looked like the culprit to Chad (Billy Flynn) and the police.

What Do The Victims Have In Common?

Interestingly enough, it was Chad who found both bloodied bodies, although Leo stumbled upon Sonny before Chad did. It might not be clear to the bumbling Salem PD cops that both Abigail and Sonny have something in common, but it is clear to us. Both victims were people Chad loved. Abigail was his wife, the love of his life, and the mother of his children, while Sonny is his longtime BFF, who has been a rock to him since Chad became a widow earlier this summer.

What if the killer is trying to destroy Chad and using the people he loves as collateral damage? Yes, this might be a setup to blame Leo, but what if Leo is also just collateral damage in some revenge quest against Chad? Could the culprit be someone we know or someone from his past we never met? Either way, it feels to us that this is exactly where Days of our Lives is heading.
