DAYS Spoilers Speculation: Melinda Blackmails EJ

DAYS spoilers fooled viewers into thinking Melinda was about to tell EJ that Eric was the real father of Nicole’s baby. But then she got distracted by the thought of having sex with Li. But tomorrow is another day. And tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. Melinda will eventually tell EJ. And then she’ll tell him what she wants in return.

Melinda (Tina Huang) isn’t stupid. (Though her dating service choice wasn’t the best decision she ever made.) Melinda never does anything without first thinking through what good it could do for Melinda. She isn’t filling EJ in out of the goodness of her heart or even because she feels he deserves to know the truth. She isn’t even doing it to hurt EJ or Nicole (Arianne Zucker) or Sloan (Jessica Serfaty). She’s doing it because now EJ is going to owe her one.

DOOL Spoilers: Either Way

Sure, EJ could be grateful to no longer be in the dark about the child his fiancée is carrying. He might even throw a few bucks Melinda’s way. Sort of a finder’s fee. But that’s not what Melinda is hoping for. Or counting on. Melinda is hoping that EJ will be so desperate to hold onto Nicole that he’ll want Melinda to keep her lip zipped. And that he’ll give her anything she asks for to make it happen.

DAYS Spoilers: Wishes Can Come True

Sure, Melinda can ask for plain old money. But it’s more to her advantage to have a spy in the DiMera mansion. EJ can feed Melinda all sorts of tidbits to raise her conviction stats. And if he happens to eventually hand over Li (Remington Hoffman) as a co-conspirator in trying to kill Stefan (Brandon Barash), then Melinda can use it to either put Li in prison…or bind him to her forever.
