Who is the real father of Nicole Walker's baby?
DAYS spoilers are making it look like Nicole might actually be able to carry her baby to term this time. But there is still the question of its paternity. Sure, Nicole thinks she knows who it is.
She thinks it’s EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) because a paternity test ruled out Eric (Greg Vaughan). But we know that Sloan submitted her DNA in Eric’s place. And that Salem Hospital can’t tell the difference between men and women on a chromosomal level. But who is the real daddy? Here’s what almost 3,000 fans are predicting.
The option with the most dramatic possibilities is obviously that EJ is the father, 7% speculate, but that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) will leave him for Eric, anyway. Eric will love playing daddy to his love’s child. But EJ will hate it. That could fuel the story for years to come!
Eric being the father but Nicole staying with EJ is the better story, 24% predict, because it’s more unexpected. Everyone assumes that once she knows Eric fathered her child, Nicole will run, not walk, straight to the man she truly loves.
But what if Nicole has gotten really, really used to the kind of lifestyle EJ can offer her? Also, what if she is really, really angry that Eric could forget their great love so quickly, by taking up with Sloan (Jessica Serfaty)? If Eric truly loved Nicole, he would never look at another woman again. The fact that he could move on proves she’s nothing special. At least, with EJ, she knows she’s second to Sami (Alison Sweeney). But at least making Sami angry is fun!
The baby is Eric’s, 69% has no doubt, but it will have a sibling a few months younger since Sloan will be pregnant, too. Eric will be the one trapped between two women and two kids. Sure, he loves Nicole, but he’ll feel a responsibility towards Sloan. Which will make Nicole angry. And we all know how she’ll punish Eric for it.
