It’s an up-and-down day at the DiMera mansion. News spreads of Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) untimely passing, and Stefan (Brandon Barash) wastes no time showing her obituary to Nicole (Arianne Zucker). Her mind is blown by the doc’s passing. She was once her mother-in-law, after all. Surely she must wonder how poor Eric is handling the news.
Stefan isn’t going to let a little thing like Marlena’s death get him down, though. He has bigger fish to fry — particularly his brother. He and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) once again have it out. Will this set off another chain of unsavory deeds between these warring siblings?
DAYS made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more. It was developed as a half-hour soap opera for NBC by prolific soap scribe Irna Phillips along with her longtime director, Ted Corday, and Allan Chase. Corday’s son, Ken Corday, continues the family tradition by serving as executive producer.
From Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) crazy schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Fans love their daytime soap operas, and the excitement in Salem is non-stop.
