Marlena (Deidre Hall) slowly enters the afterlife, and she is in disbelief that she’s there. What is she about to find waiting for her on the other side? It looks like she’s in for a bit of a surprise when she sets her sights on something she did not expect to see.
Back on earth, Eric (Greg Vaughan) tries to work through his sorrows…by drinking them away. He sits alone in the pub and hits the bottle a little too hard. While his sadness is justified, the amount of booze he consumes may be something he’ll regret…again.
All the while, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) is comforted by Abe (James Reynolds) at the hospital before leaning on Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) in the square. She eventually takes Alex home — but only for a drink and a chat. How will Chanel (Raven Bowens) feel when she finds these two sipping some beers on the couch?
DAYS made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more. It was developed as a half-hour soap opera for NBC by prolific soap scribe Irna Phillips along with her longtime director, Ted Corday, and Allan Chase. Corday’s son, Ken Corday, continues the family tradition by serving as executive producer.
From Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) crazy schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Fans love their daytime soap operas, and the excitement in Salem is non-stop.
