It’s a day of heartbreak for Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and her family as her condition continues to worsen. She has one last request, and John (Drake Hogestyn) intends on making it happen. He turns to grandson Johnny and baker extraordinaire Chanel to help get it done.

What no one expects is this good deed brings Chanel (Raven Bowens) close to the twin she didn’t choose. She and Johnny begin to bond as she helps him with the task and through his heartbreak. Does the hug they share begin to mean more than friendship?

Meanwhile, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is taken away by the cops — much to the relief of Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). His drama doesn’t stop there, though. He’s not only left to explain that situation to his daughter, but he also explains what happened with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). To say Rachel (Finely Rose Slater) isn’t happy about either situation is an understatement.
