Marlena (Deidre Hall) has a mystery on her hands — Mr. Doe (Dick Van Dyke) from the hospital has her curious and at the pub, she gets John (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) to help her solve it. The two will do their best to get some answers.

Marlena remains busy as she pays a visit to Ava (Tamara Braun) and Harris (Steve Burton). Ava is having issues with seeing dead people again. It’s still Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) and it has Ava rattled. Will she confess this to Marlena though?

Susan isn’t done haunting people. She also pays her son EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) a visit but is she really the one who inspires him to pay Xander (Paul Telfer) a visit — brandishing a gun? What is EJ up to? Does he want Xander to do a job for him or is he looking for payback for his mom?
