Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) feels something bad going on around her but she can’t pinpoint what. While she played a hero of sorts during the Devil drama, will Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) pay her much mind? They should because a knock at the door turns their lives upside down.
The person in the entryway is Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison). She’s there to deliver a tear-jerking announcement that will rock their world. Get your tissues ready as the tears flow.
Johnny makes a beeline for the hospital where he checks in with his father. Understandably, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is beside himself. A murderer did enter the mansion and kill his sister-in-law, after all. The men soothe each other before EJ goes to hold Belle and cry it out.

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more. It was developed as a half-hour soap opera for NBC by prolific soap scribe Irna Phillips along with her longtime director, Ted Corday, and Allan Chase. Corday’s son, Ken Corday, continues the family tradition by serving as executive producer.
From Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) crazy schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Fans love their daytime soap operas and the excitement in Salem is non-stop.
