Sure, her son just miraculously returned from the dead, and he’s clearly still crushing on his ex-girlfriend-cum-employer, but why should little things like that keep Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) from getting hot ‘n’ heavy?
And so what she’s still totally in love — lust? — with her ex-boyfriend-cum-employee and he’s nothing more than a pleasant, inarguably — wanna fight us on this? — attractive distraction, should any of this preclude Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) from taking their relationship to the next level?
No, and no. You can’t form a good love quad without first getting the endgame couple — in this case, Jake and Gabi — involved with other lovers. It’s just soap writing 101.
DOOL Spoilers: Help Wanted
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) had better sit down for this one — Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) has been drummed out of the priesthood…and not for the first time.

But rather than some salacious sex tape, this time Eric’s crime is performing exorcisms without a license. He really should have known that that would come back to bite him in the backside. As if the Catholic Church would thank him for taking jobs that rightfully belong to Father Acosta and co. (for those of you who got that reference, congratulations!).
DAYS Spoilers: A Pretty Decent Proposal
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) has got a question for Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Scratch that, he’s got the question for Nicole. As in, “Will you marry me?” *Squeal!*
And yes, you wouldn’t be wrong in thinking that it’s all a bit sudden, and if you suspect that he’s only doing this to stake his claim, you might be on to something — but Rafe insists that this is all on the up and up.
In fact, he reveals to Nicole that he purchased the engagement ring long before Eric came back to town — which isn’t a bit creepy at all, even when one considers that Nicole and Rafe have only been an official couple for about three months now.
