Days of our Lives spoilers show that Lani is so angry at Eli, she wants him out of their home. Eli is hoping she will calm down and realize he did it all to protect her but what if she can’t get past it as fast as he would like? And what if she leans on a familiar face?
Lani (Sal Stowers) feels betrayed after finding out Eli (Lamon Archey) and her father Abe (James Reynolds) conspired to keep her in the dark about what Eli did to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), tricking her bestie into confessing so that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) wouldn’t pursue charges of aiding and abetting against Lani. To save her, Kristen did it. And now Lani is furious.
Unfortunately, Lani can’t seek comfort from her father as she is angry at him too. So exactly who is there (and not currently behind bars) in Salem that could be there for the extremely pregnant mother-to-be of twins during this trying time in her life?
It just so happens, her former boyfriend and partner on the police force, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), is back in town after hanging out with her brother in South Africa. But JJ wasn’t just a boyfriend — he thought he was the father of the child who was stillborn — David Abraham — and his heart was broken when he learned Eli was the real father.
They had even been engaged. JJ has moved on and had others break his heart since but he and Lani are in a good place. He’s always cared for her and would probably be quite willing to help her during this rough time. While we doubt Lani would stray, that doesn’t mean Eli, if he saw them together, wouldn’t lose his mind over it!
If Eli ends up in a jealous fit to see her being comforted by JJ, could that be enough to make Lani forgive her true love? Or could seeing him upset please her, causing her to ask JJ for help in making Eli miserable? Either way, the presence of JJ being in Salem could make things quite interesting.
