There is no question that Gwen’s vendetta against Abby is utterly personal. While current Days of our Lives spoilers don’t give away what the basis of that grudge is, there have been a few hints lately that make it seem it could involve her parents — specifically Jack.
After all, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) has been awfully curious about the great love story of Abby’s (Marci Miller) parents, Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Jack (Matthew Ashford), going so far as to insist that she wants to help plan a party to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Jenn waking from her coma. But if there’s one thing her ex, Jake (Brandon Barash) has warned us — it’s that Gwen always has an agenda.
In fact, he questioned his ex and alluded to the fact she’d want to make a public spectacle as retribution — cause that’s how she operates. And he may be right. Could there be a more embarrassing moment for Jack than to have this young woman berate him for abandoning her and her mother (whomever that may be — he’s certainly gone missing often enough) at a party celebrating his love for his “current” family?
It wouldn’t be a stretch to think that Jack was with another woman, got her pregnant, and left without a look back. His past is hardly squeaky clean, which Abby pretty much admitted to Gwen on Wednesday’s show. (Of course, perhaps Jack didn’t know this supposed woman was pregnant.)
If Gwen thinks that Abby got to have the perfect life with a mom and a dad, it would certainly explain why she would want to act out and ruin her life. Gwen doesn’t like it when people take what she feels is hers.
Granted, trying to fry her brain is a bit extreme and pretty horrible to do to someone who could be your sister. But it certainly could explain a lot of her actions of late. Will it all come out at the party? This is just wild speculation but stay tuned to see if it comes true. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
