Days of our Lives History
DOOL made its debut on November 8, 1965 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera currently airing in American history. The show shot to the No. 1 spot in the ratings in the early 1970s and has been a fan favorite thanks to its emphasis on romance, adventure, and family.
The Horton clan has been a staple on DAYS since the show’s premiere on November 8, 1965. Since then, other families have been added to the show’s storytelling canvas including the Bradys, the DiMeras, the Kiriakises, and the Hernandez clans. Two of the show’s most enduring love stories are the ones belonging to Marlena Evans and John Black, and Steve aka “Patch” (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more!
