The Days of our Lives spoilers for January 4-8, 2021, tease Chad blowing a gasket, Gwen upping the ante, the walls closing in on Charlie, and so much more!
Chad (Billy Flynn) awakens on New Year’s Day and is forced to confront the results of his drunken antics. Though he is momentarily contrite for cheating on his wife, Chad is later riled up by Gwen (Emily O’Brien), who insists that he merely took a page from Abigail’s (Marci Miller) own book.
With that in mind, Chad heads to the DiMera mansion with the express intention of reading Abigail and Jake (Brandon Barash) the riot act. However, he’s stopped in his tracks by a stunning revelation: Abigail has never been unfaithful to him. In point of fact, it has been KATE (Lauren Koslow) with whom Jake has been sleeping.
For her part, Gwen admits that she lied about have seen Jake and Abigail kissing. Then she’s handed her walking papers by a disgusted and disillusioned Abigail. But Gwen isn’t about to give up so easily. When left alone with Chad, she informs him that she’ll squeal about their one night stand if he doesn’t see to it that she gets her job back.
Charlie (Mike Manning) finally concocts a plan that he’s sure will permanently divest him of Ava (Tamara Braun): dose her with hallucinogenic drugs, then commit her to a mental institution.
With the first part of his task completed, Charlie goes to see Claire (Isabel Durant), and when he realizes that they are alone, he tells her that he wants to make love. At the same time, Steve (Stephen Nichols) and John (Drake Hogestyn) learn that Ava has another son…another son named Charlie!
The men alert Marlena (Deidre Hall), inadvertently interrupting her therapy session with Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). The two, in turn, interrupt Charlie and Claire’s intimate moment, and Ben convinces his pal that she should ask Charlie to leave.
And it just gets worse for Charlie from there…especially when he learns that his mother has been freed from her predicament courtesy of Rafe (Galen Gering).
In other Salem news, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) pressures Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) to let her help him, and Xander (Paul Telfer) finally gets what he needs to bring his business rival down. Also, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) has a bone to pick with Brady (Eric Martsolf) over a picture showing him kissing a certain ex-lover on New Year’s Eve.
Meanwhile, Roman (Josh Taylor) blasts Tripp (Lucas Adams), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) begin to see the error of her ways, and Bonnie (Judi Evans) provides critical assistance.
Finally, Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) give Valerie (Vanessa A. Williams) disappointing news, then learn that their twins are missing! Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
