Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, December 23, 2019, tease an episode full of questionable motives (hello Hope and Kate), bold decisions, and a heartbreaking confession. Make sure to tune in because you will not want to miss a second of the action-packed Salem drama.
Seeing Marlena (Deidre Hall) in the flesh has SteVano (Stephen Nichols) tingling. He loves her, he wants her, but the only way he can possibly have her is by stepping out and showing himself. Will he do it? Is the timing really right? The last thing he wants is to screw this up.
Of course, showing himself means shocking everyone with his new look. He’s Stefano on the inside and Steve on the outside and explaining this will most definitely get complicated. He better think long and hard about rushing into something he can’t take back.
At the same time, Rafe (Galen Gearing) comes across “Hope” (Kristian Alfonso) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) going at each other and steps in.
Why are Hope and Kate fighting? What are they going on about? He wants answers but will he get them? Teasers show these ladies are fast on their feet and are pros at damage control.

Back at the Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans), she and Justin (Wally Kurth) plan a romantic holiday together. This is their first as a couple and they want to make it special. This will be one they’ll never forget, they agree. Little do they know how right they are!
Meanwhile, JJ (Casey Moss) digs deep and asks his parents for serious help. He admits to spending the last few months high as a kite and confesses he’s falling into a serious addiction cycle. He needs to find his way out and back into the light but has no idea how to put down the pills.
Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) step up for their son, of course. They love him and they want what’s best for him.
