It has been rumored for a while that Days of Our Lives plans to kick off a huge story that’s never been done before in daytime when the show turns 54 years old on November 8. A few details have been revealed and in some ways, it leaves us with more questions than answers. Don’t read on if you want to stay unspoiled.

Days of Our Lives First — And Daytime First

For the rest of you, the rumor has been out for a while that the “never before done” event is a one-year time jump. But the pretty-much-always-right Jason47 DAYS Website goes even further with the speculation — or rather, with details — it has learned.

“Here’s the first of several storyline teasers to speculate about: One character will be spending the one-year time jump in a coma. Who will miss out on at least 365 days of their life?”

Who Could It Be?
There are three strong contenders to our minds here at Soap Hub. The first one may be a bit of a pipe dream but we will take him any way we can get him — and that’s the return from the dead of Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).

Sure, Bo is most sincerely dead, as anyone can be on DAYS, but with Dr. Rolf (Will Utay) around — is anyone ever really dead in Salem?

What do you think? Post a comment!

Speaking of never being dead, what about Stefan (Brandon Barash)? You don’t really believe it was his heart that went in Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), do you? Would Rolf really forsake Stefano’s progeny that way? We think not. No, we bet he’s squired him off somewhere — so perhaps he is the one in the coma.

The Favorite

While we don’t want this to be the case, there was a rumor on Twitter that Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) return would upset his fanbase.

What if it’s Steve who is in the coma and we have to wait a year for the Stayla reunion we’ve already waited over a year for? Guess time will tell. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
