While Shawn takes on Philip, Xander (Paul Telfer) sets out to destroy him, via Jan (Heather Lindell). Xander needs an ally so why not pick someone who can go dark too? He turns on the charm and uses all his manipulative power to get Jan on his side.

Speaking of Jan, Marlena (Deidre Hall) gives Claire (Isabel Durant) a talk about getting close to the maniac. Claire wants to see the good in everyone, especially after her own ordeal. If she and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) got second chances, why shouldn’t everyone else? Well, Claire, not everyone deserves it, and not everyone can get better.
