Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday, August 23 reveal a wedding full of shock and surprises for John and Marlena. Things don’t turn out quite as planned… and of course Sami is the cause.
The Return of Sami Brady
When last we saw Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), it was December 2017. By this time, she had a one-night stand with Rafe, and then disappeared from town.
She told John and Marlena it was her embarrassment over the affair keeping her from the wedding, but tomorrow she shows up anyway.
We’ll see her for the first time in eight months when she shows up at John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) wedding.
Let’s just say she’ll give a whole new meaning to the phrase shotgun wedding as that rivalry with her sister-in-law never seems to end.
The legendary soap opera vixen arrives in dramatic fashion as always. Thanks to the shocking chaos at the ‘Jarlena’ wedding, Rafe will end up arresting Sami, who will have a shocking showdown with Hope (Kristian Alfonso).
Hope just forgave Rafe for his indiscretion last week, but now that Sami’s back, that old hurt might come creeping up again.

After insisting to Sonny (Freddie Smith) that he no longer loves him — and was happy with Paul (Christopher Sean) — Will suddenly remembers his life with Sonny.
Did Dr. Rolf’s formula actually work or has Will remembered on his own?
He only remembered a few moments here and there recently and they didn’t come with feelings, but with re-created flashbacks featuring Chandler Massey, Will remembers marrying Sonny and their whole life together.
While Sonny is bound and determined to forget about any chance he has with Will, he gets the shock of his life when Will tells him all those memories came flooding back.
Can these two ever get it together? Or, will new feelings for Paul win out in the end? Paul is usually the one left out in the cold, but that might not happen this time.
