Days of our Lives Spoilers January 3: Heartbreak Across Salem

Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday January 3 promise sadness all across Salem as Chanel and Johnny deal with his betrayal, and Gabi, JJ, Alex and Joy deal with their new realities.

The Parent Trap

Now that Chanel (Raven Bowens) knows Johnny (Carson Boatman) cheated on her with Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), she goes running home to Mother. Paulina (Jackee Harry) is there to comfort her precious baby girl. Let’s see how quickly Paulina can make it about her, as she does with all things.

Johnny, meanwhile, turns for solace not to his own father – EJ isn’t exactly a “there, there,” kind of guy – or his own mother – Sami (Allison Sweeney) is always too much up in her own drama to be concerned with what her offspring are up to – but to Chanel’s stepfather, Abe (James Reynolds). Abe is always wise, and calm, and supportive of young people. Who wants to bet Paulina won’t feel the same once she finds out how her husband “betrayed” her?

Here We Are Again

While Chanel and Johnny work out what his hook-up means for their marriage, Joy is feeling rotten. She’s been feeling rotten ever since she met Johnny’s lovely wife, and Chanel insisted on being Joy’s friend. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) is one of the few people who knew the whole story, and even lied to Chanel about it, pretending he was the one who hooked up with Joy.

But now that the truth is out, why not make the lie a truth? Especially since Stephanie (Abigail Klein) seems preoccupied with Phillip (Jean-Paul Lavosier)….

Not So Fast

Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and JJ (Casey Moss) were just about to reunite and seal the deal. But then Javi (Al Calderon) showed up. If he isn’t happy, why should anybody be happy? Happy New Year, Salem!
