As Kayla works to save her patient’s life, Lani has a fantasy of her perfect life with her baby and JJ (Casey Moss). Her love for him still burns strong, and it’s that love that she’s focused on as she’s under anesthesia.
Meanwhile, Kayla does her best, but things aren’t looking as good as the doctor would like as both mom and baby appear to be in distress.
