The Days of our Lives spoilers for September 7-11, 2020, reveal a pair of homecomings -that is not without drama – and so much more!
Abigail (Marci Miller) surprises Chad (Billy Flynn) by checking herself out of the Florida-based mental health facility and returning home – but she quickly realizes that all is not well at Chez DiMera.
First, she’s taken aback to discover that Jake (Brandon Barash) is now living at the mansion. Then she’s told all about Chad and Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) clandestine smooch. That revelation earns Chad a slap across the face but he’s able to explain his actions to Abby’s satisfaction.
However, she still has a bone to pick with the estate’s other lodger. Gwen insists that she didn’t really mean to make a play for Chad. In fact, it was all Gabi’s (Camila Banus) fault… Gwen was just merely attempting to fight fire with fire.
Abby accepts the story and she even agrees to Gwen’s suggestion that they toast to new beginnings. Chad interrupts the proceedings before Abby can take a sip of her drink…and it’s lucky that he did considering the fact that Gwen dosed Abby’s tumbler with an as yet unidentified substance.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) is delighted at Tripp’s (Lucas Adams) return home and he’s further heartened by the young man’s news. Turns out, Tripp wants to remain in Salem – indefinitely – and finish out his remaining year of medical school at the local University Hospital. But will Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) approve of the transfer and of having her stepson working alongside her?
Of course, she would! Off that joyous news, Tripp runs into Claire (Isabel Durant) and the two discuss their fractious past. Claire reiterates her regret at how she treated Tripp and Haley (Thia Megia) and the two are able to part on very friendly terms.
In other Salem news, Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) reunion with Belle (Martha Madison) doesn’t go as planned, and Eli (Lamon Archey) shares some upsetting news with Lani (Sal Stowers).
Meanwhile, Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) frantic search for Ciara (Victoria Konefal) continues. Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Shawn are able to uncover Vincent’s (Michael Teh) link to Wendy Taylor but their work might be all for naught as Ciara finds herself at the center of a deadly predicament!
Finally, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) argue about Victor (John Aniston), and Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) anxiously await the judge’s ruling regarding the custody of Baby Boy Horton. Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
