Days of our Lives spoilers for May 25, 2020, reveal the tables being turned on a hostage-taker, an injured party, three marriage proposals, and a tender goodbye.
While Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) rendezvous with Orpheus (George DelHoyo) – cash in hand – Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Rafe (Galen Gering) desperately search for David.
The exchange is completed, and heroic Steve manages to get the drop on big bad Orpheus – but not before Rafe takes a bullet! The villain is hauled down to the station where he comes face to face with a gun-wielding Justin (Wally Kurth).
Justin appears resolute about getting Old Testament justice for his beloved Adrienne (Judi Evans) but he is talked down by Steve – who promises to do the deed himself… and then promptly knocks his sister’s killer unconscious.
Justin is momentarily taken aback by the betrayal but Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is able to make him realize that Steve made the right call. In the standoff’s aftermath, Justin decides that the time has come for him to truly move on with his life.
With that in mind, he makes his way to Adrienne’s grave and asks her permission to marry Kayla! Later, he returns home intent on popping the question… but he may be stymied by the appearance of Steve, who’s decided that he’s ready to win his ex-wife back.
In other Salem news, there are now two more couples prepared to take the marital plunge. First, it’s Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and then Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey). However, the latter couple is about to get some shocking news that could damper their celebratory mood.
Also, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) goes to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) with an important request and later helps Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) out of yet another dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) confronts Brady (Eric Martsolf) about the ultimatum that he offered Victor (John Aniston) and John rips into Victor for the damage he has done and the lives he’s ruined.
Finally, Abigail (Kate Mansi) shares a heartfelt goodbye with her family, Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) share a romantic night, and Nicole warns Abe (James Reynolds) that he’s making a mistake by hiring Kate (Lauren Koslow).
