Rafe’s (Galen Gearing) accident leaves everyone stunned when Holly is presumed dead. The tragedy rocks everyone’s world as news spreads and reality sets in.
Poor Nicole (Arianne Zucker) will be a mess in the aftermath of her daughter’s death. She trusted Eric (Greg Vaughn) to care for her little girl only to face this horrific twist.
A guilt-ridden Rafe gets hit hard when Hope goes after him. His wife on a warpath and the pressure becomes too much. Their marriage comes to a fiery end during another heated face off.
Little do they know Holly is just fine. Xander (Paul Telfer) and Ted (Gilles Marini) still have her in hiding.
What does this mean for the kidnappers? There is no leverage if everyone thinks the child is dead.

The outburst does not sit well with Victor who gives as good as he gets. Expect the pressure to get to Maggie and send her close to the edge. Will she take a drink?
There is good news for one couple, though. Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) celebrate their six months anniversary.
Oh, and what a time it has been. Killer exes, murder attempts, and multiple schemes threatened to keep them apart but brought them closer together instead.
Unfortunately, their celebration is cut short when Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) get terrible news. The young couple will need all the support they can get as they navigate troubled waters.
