The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, July 15, 2020, featured Sami going off the rails (as expected), Lucas accepting an odd shoulder to lean on, and Ivan dropping a secret he swore to take to his grave.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Sami (Alison Sweeney) was back, but not for the wedding. She was there to take Allie home, except Allie (Lindsay Arnold) didn’t want to go. In fact, Allie didn’t budge and even dropped the pregnancy bomb. She’s a big girl now and making her own decisions.
That started Sami on a whole other tirade. How dare Allie not tell her and how dare everyone else keep the secret? She lost it on everyone and it was not pretty. John and Roman checked out with Holly and hightailed it away from the drama.
Sami Was Ready To Fight
Sami ranted, Sami raged, and Sami cried a sea of tears, and then things got worse. Allie dropped a second bomb – she’s giving away the baby. If Sami’s head could have exploded, it would have. Allie dug in harder and eventually stormed out. She didn’t want or need Sami around.
That set Sami off even more. She turned on Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and went on the attack. The ladies got into it ending in the destruction of the wedding cake.

An Odd Bonding Moment
While Sami dealt with her daughter, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) dealt with Bonnie (Judi Evans). She dropped by the mansion to make amends, which included an offer of a night of passion — one he would remember this time. When that didn’t work, she said she’d help him with Allie. She was in a similar boat with Mimi and knows how he feels.
Lucas decided it was better to have at least one person on his side, even if it was Bonnie. She was a terrible person but hey, she’s not the most terrible person in this town.
The Mother Of All Twists
Gabi (Camila Banus) and Jake (Brandon Barash) waited for the serum to take effect but it didn’t, and it wouldn’t. Little did they know Jake was really Jake after all. Ivan (Ivan G’Vera) broke the shocking news to Madame that she gave birth to two boys that day. He and the doctor were the only ones who knew.
Ivan fully expected the infant to die so he hid him away from all prying eyes. Oops, baby lived, so into foster care Jake went too. Why no mention of this over the last four decades? Well, why would he say something? It would only hurt Vivian (Louise Sorel) more. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
