The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, April 8 features engagement drama, rushed wedding plans, and a sweet declaration of love.
A New Plan!
Eve (Kassie DePaiva) had to think fast on her feet after the engagement announcement. Jen (Melissa Reeves) drilled her with questions. When did Jack propose? Where is the ring? When is the big day? What does their upcoming marriage have to do with Haley? Like a pro, Eve ran through them all.
The crowd fell for it, but Jen did not. If Jack was in his right mind he would never marry Eve and she told him just that. In fact, Jack would not be acting like this at all.
Well, Jack obviously is not the man Jen once knew. He took Eve’s lie and ran with it. He told Eve they were getting married tomorrow too — just like Tripp and Haley! Of course, he said it’s to counter one lie with another lie.
Meanwhile, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) blew a gasket when the press conference ended without the big reveal. She pulled Eve aside and found out the footage was gone and they’d have to try again. It was a setback but Eve promised to get the job done.

Baby Fever!
Over at the pub, Abe (James Reynolds) and Sheila (Tionne Watkins) came close to kissing before he shut it down.
And, just in the nick of time, too. Eli and Lani showed up and saw what almost happened. Abe got the rundown on baby David and noticed how happy Lani was to care for the little boy.
The Guardian!
Over at Bayview, Jordan (Chrishell Hartley) and Rafe (Galen Gearing) discussed what is best for David while she gets well. Rafe ended up becoming David’s guardian with Jordan’s blessing.
A Confession!
At the club, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) did her best to fight off Ted (Gilles Marini) but he had some compelling arguments. He said he’s in love with Hope and will give her the world if she gives him a chance.
