Bright Spot
While much of Salem is in utter turmoil over the conditions of Marlena and Paul, there is at least one spot in Salem that still has a little bit of happiness in it.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) still can’t believe his luck in finding a friend like Ciara (Victoria Konefal). She’s the only person in town who has been willing to believe in him… even though it drives her mother insane.
Ben wants to do something nice for his roommate and surprises Ciara with a very special gift. Will it bring these two friends even closer together? Or, is her heart truly only with Tripp (Lucas Adams)?
The Truth Is Out There
As Ciara enjoys her special gift, her mother remains a basket case.
This time, at least Hope (Kristian Alfonso) isn’t blowing a gasket about Ben. Instead she has a heated argument with Rafe (Galen Gering) over Sami.
Despite being Sami’s aunt and knowing her niece her entire life, Hope is still managing to hold a grudge (or is it jealousy?!) during this trying time and doesn’t look well on her.

Devastating Prognosis
She doesn’t even care that Sami’s mother is in such dire straits. Sami (Alison Sweeney) is distraught to hear about her mother’s condition… which most people (especially Belle) hold her responsible for.
The bullet did seem to come out of the gun she was holding. Will Sami be allowed to see Marlena as she nears the alleged end?
Holding Out For A Hero
John (Drake Hogestyn) believes in Marlena (Deidre Hall) and knows that he couldn’t possibly live without her, so he refuses to believe this could be the end.
He knows that their love story hasn’t lasted this long just to end like this and he continues trying to get her to come back to her family. Will their love conquer all and produce yet another soap miracle?
