Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was a mommy now! And she and Lani (Sal Stowers) are totes besties. Isn’t that a good enough reason for Eli (Lamon Archey) to risk his career, ignore his principles, and look the other way?

Lani was right to forgive Eli, because Eli was right to arrest Kristen, according to 75% of the audience. Lani was wrong to get upset about it, in the first place. She’s a cop, too, she knows their obligation to protect and serve, not to mention that she knew Kristen was actually guilty.

Sure, the two bonded during their Year Of Living Nunishly, but that doesn’t exactly carry legal standing in court. Lani is married to Eli. They’re expecting twins. She did the right thing by putting their marriage and family first. If there is one thing we know about Kristen, it’s that she can take care of herself.
Never Surrender
A much smaller 25% of Days of our Lives fans wish Lani had held on longer and really made Eli pay. He betrayed her. She asked him not to arrest her friend. He went ahead and did his job, anyway.
Lani could have never seen that coming. She had every right to expect her husband to do what she said, no matter how outside the pale. Eli wants to put his job and conscience first?
