Poor, poor Sonny on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL). First, his husband, Will, cheated on Sonny. With Sonny’s ex – Paul. Then Will ‘died.’
Sonny was all set to marry Paul. But then Will (Chandler Massey) came back from the dead.
Will didn’t remember Sonny. Will wanted Paul. Now Paul and Will are dating. Sonny is dating, too. He’s dating Leo (Greg Rikaart), a gigalo hired by Vivian (Louise Sorel) to – somehow – take over Victor’s (John Aniston) company.
And even that isn’t going well, as Leo got himself a job working for Sonny in order to be closer to him – but Sonny refused to mix business and pleasure.
In light of all that, should Sonny maybe take a break on the dating front? Over 5,000 fans swipe right… then left…
Hit the Pause Button
It’s a landslide, as 95% of you roar, “Yes!” Sonny is on the super-duper rebound, and that’s bound to end badly. Even if he doesn’t fall for Leo’s scam, he’s likely to land in a terrible situation because he’s trying to turn down the volume on his throbbing, broken heart.
Sonny not only lost both Will and Paul – well, OK, he dumped Paul for Will, but it’s not like his feelings also magically disappeared – now he has to watch them mooning over each other. Sonny isn’t thinking straight, and that’s no headspace to go into a new relationship with.
You Can’t Win If You Don’t Stay In the Game
Keep putting yourself out there, 5% of the audience urges the downcast Sonny. Will is bound to regain his memories someday, and then he will want to come back to you.
But, wouldn’t it be cool if you were involved with someone else? That should light a fire under Will! And, if it doesn’t, you’ll have a backup plan. It’s a win-win!
